POSTCARDS FROM BUXTON

TeakShow's Twisted Sketches' Jackie Stirling writes
Buxton - very picturesque spa town. Enjoyed sightseeing while flyering. Performed some sketches as part of comedy night, 'Barrel of Laughs' at Undergound Venues. Show was in The Barrel Room, ancient cellar of hotel. Packed house - went down a storm. Staying with charming couple, who look after us well. Husband shares inclination for collecting curiosities with one of our writers.

First full length show at Buxton Fringe. Flyered Buxton during carnival. Nice article about us in the Stage goes up on venue noticeboard. We get a very good house and the show, with a lot of new material in, goes very well. Lots of very positive feedback in the bar afterwards.

Quote of the Day

FringeReview: "What do you like about Buxton Fringe?"
James Weisz (Smarty Pants Productions): "The place, the people and the water! I love the sense of support there. The Buxton Opera House really gets behind the Fringe up there."
