This well loved local pub has often played host to artistic events. Based at 146 Springfield Rd, , BN1 6BZ, here are our recommended shows:

Highly acclaimed, Scorch Theatre ("Hope Gap" - we five starred it) has collaborated with Two Bins to present a world premiere  production that was developed at the Royal Court's Young Writers Programme. "After Party", penned by Ben Keyworth,  is billed as "a tale of gatecrashers, chemically fuelled lust and paranoia. The remains of a good night out turn sour as the guests are held hostage by social etiquette. Secrets unfold in this darkly comic exploration of the small hours where hedonism and fear share a sofa.

Also on offer is Teechers, the often staged play by John Godber presented by Top Drawer Productions. Teechers is all about a a modern comprehensive school. The new drama teacher arrives and faces what seems like an impossible challenge. "Cynical colleagues, obstructive caretakers and naughty students collide in a fascinating blur of quick witted and loveable characters." Three actors take on twenty roles!,
