The Rise of Delphic Theatre - FringeReview talks to founder, Chris Hislop

I met the charismatic and energised Chris Hislop at Tic Toc's cafe in Brighton an early March morning. Chris is full of fire and passion for his newly emerging Delphic Theatre company which will be showcasing Oedipus outdoors in Jubilee Square in Brighton during this year's Brighton Fringe.

On the day of the interview Chris was waiting on, hopefully, good news, that the company had been granted permission to use the space in front of the award-winning Brighton Library, glass-fronted building. It will certainly make for a potentally spectacular setting for the ninety minute performance. The show will be performed in Jubilee Square on May 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th and 7.30pm. I spoke to Chris about Greek drama, modern staging, the rehearsal process and even hypnosis!
